The U.S. military has flown to Ukraine the first three light protivokorabelnye radar system, which will go into service with the Ukrainian army.

"Radar system can see the approach of mortar fire and quickly calculate the position of the enemy," explained Warren. He added that the Ukrainian military will determine where and when they will use these systems.

As noted in the press service of the Pentagon, this is the first batch of radar systems, which will include 20 units, and they will be delivered in the next few weeks.

American military experts will start learning Ukrainian colleagues in mid-December. The radar system is part of a comprehensive U.S. aid in the amount of $118 million, providing equipment and training of the Ukrainian military. "We work closely with the Ukrainians in the process of interagency cooperation," he noted in this regard, Warren.
