"We talked about the threat to Ukrainian sovereignty and integrity that comes from Russia. It is simply unacceptable that in the twenty-first century the country was trying by force to change the borders in Europe or in any other part of the world. To military intervention, because someone does not like the decision of his neighbor," he said.

Biden stressed that Russia's behavior violates international principles, and that is why the international community unanimously supported Ukraine. "The international community condemns Russia's actions and supports Ukraine. Thus, Russia pays more and more expensive for their illegal actions," he said.
Biden stressed that America does not recognize pseudoliberal November 2, conducted under the leadership of the Kremlin, and the occupation of part of the territory of Ukraine and attempted annexation of the Crimea.

Also, according to Biden, the US urged other countries not to recognize the annexation of the Crimea. He noted that the only possible for Russia's path is the execution of the Minsk agreements. If Russia had fulfilled their obligations and respect the sovereignty of Ukraine and its territorial integrity, we could start a rational debate on sanctions. But we're not there. Instead, we see a more provocative actions, disrespect to the agreement, which was signed by Russia. If this continues - Russia will pay more and more expensive and increasingly isolated," said he.

Poroshenko said that the basic format to ensure that the peace process remains the format of the Minsk talks, in which it is necessary to provide a number of key elements of the peace plan. "It's an immediate ceasefire, the creation of a buffer zone, it is output to the line of collision, overlapping boundaries, the withdrawal of foreign troops and armored vehicles and the immediate start of the political process through elections in accordance with the Ukrainian legislation in the temporarily occupied territory, on the territory of Donetsk and Lugansk," said he.

Poroshenko stressed that Ukraine adheres to all of the commitments assumed in Minsk, and relies on the implementation of the agreements by all parties.
