The bill to repeal the special order of the local government in some areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions already registered in Parliament

The Council of national security and defense supported the initiative of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on the abolition of the law "On special order of the local government in some areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions", September 16, 2014 and recommended to the Parliament to repeal this law. This was stated by the Deputy Secretary of the NSDC Alexander Litvinenko following the meeting of the security Council.

The relevant bill was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada speaker Oleksandr Turchynov.

Yesterday, November 3, in particular, in his address to the nation Poroshenko said: "One of the questions that I will submit for consideration by the Council, - the abolition of the law on local self-government in selected districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. At the time this law has fulfilled a very important role in the suspension of external interventions, mobilizing support world the Minsk peace agreements, confirmation of the sincerity of the intentions of Ukraine to de-escalate the situation in the Donbass.
