Attendees observed a minute's silence for the victims in the ATO zone militia officers, soldiers of the national guard and armed forces of Ukraine. At the ceremonial meeting dedicated to the Day of liberation of Mariupol, Oleksandr Turchynov stressed that the main task for the military during the liberation of the city "was to prevent that no civilian was harmed during the operation.

"Risking their lives, our heroes are adequately fulfilled this task. Today Mariupol is an example of persistence and inflexibility, and inspires the liberation of all our land, " he said.

NSDC Secretary stressed that it is symbolic is that today the Central square of the city, which bore the name "Bolshevik tyrant was renamed Freedom square. "And just at this place of Freedom we will celebrate the liberation of the whole of our land," - said Alexander Turchinov.

Immediately after the solemn meeting and communication with residents, the NSDC Secretary went to the forefront of the sector, which is most active military confrontation.
