The Deputy Secretary of State of the USA Victoria Nuland recognized that the USA consider actions of Russia in Ukraine as "invasion".

Perhaps, it is the first case when the high-ranking official of the USA used this term concerning the Ukrainian conflict, the correspondent Alan Yukhas notes.

"Nuland spoke at a meeting of committee on foreign affairs of the House of Representatives of the USA. The congressman Brian Higgins asked it how to regard support of insurgents by Russia in East Ukraine - granting the weapon, heavy armored machinery, money and the military personnel: Whether "Is it invasion in the practical relation?".
In the beginning Nuland answered: "We accurately declared that Russia bears responsibility that this war "was let out in the field". Higgins demanded to answer "yes" or "no" a question of, whether is it invasion.

"We in the past used this word and", - answered Nuland. "Apparently, it is the first case when the high-ranking official dropped this word concerning intervention of Russia in East Ukraine, but not simply proceeding occupation of the Crimean peninsula", - the author comments.

Staff of administration of Obama tried not to call many months the conflict by "invasion". The term "invasion" is also avoided by the president Obama, ambassadors of the USA, the U.S. Secretary of State, the chancellor Merkel and other leaders of the EU. Possibly, they don't want to aggravate antagonistic rhetoric and to fight off the Kremlin aspiration to a compromise, Yukhas believes.

Congressmen at an above-mentioned meeting, however, didn't hesitate. Ad Royce "not only told that Russia intruded to Ukraine, but also declared that the Kremlin "enlisted all skinheads and dissatisfied in the Russian-speaking world and tried to send them to the east" Ukraine", the newspaper retells.

Almost all members of the committee urged the USA to arm immediately Ukraine with "lethal defensive arms" for fight from estimated 12 thousand Russian military personnel who allegedly are at war together with insurgents and coordinate their actions in East Ukraine.

Nuland repeated that Obama didn't make the decision on arms supplies yet. She also spoke out in defense of strategy of administration of Obama who assumes financial aid to Kiev and the sanction concerning Russia.

Only one congressman, Dan Rorabakher, spoke in the spirit of which was contrary to strong statements of committee. He let know that "this situation was heated" by the Ukrainian revolutionaries, having overthrown Yanukovych. Rorabakher protects Putin long ago, Alan Yukhas reminds.
