
In the decree of the U.S. President it is noted that aggression of Russia against Ukraine continues to create a threat to national security and foreign policy of Washington
The U.S. President Barack Obama on Tuesday the decree prolonged sanctions against Russia. The relevant document is published on the official site of the White house.
"Actions, and also policy of the persons undermining democratic processes and institutes in Ukraine threaten the peace, safety, stability, the sovereignty and territorial integrity (Ukraine, - an edition). Actions and policy of the government of the Russian Federation, including, annexation of the Crimea and use of force in Ukraine, continue to create extraordinary threat for national security and foreign policy of the USA", - the U.S. President emphasized.
Due to the actions of Russia, it is told in the document, four decrees which imposed sanctions against the Russian Federation last year "have to remain in force and after March 6, 2015". It is about the decree No. 13660 of March 6, 2014, the decrees No. 13661 of March 16, 2014, No. 13662 which added it of March 20 and No. 13685 of December 19 (additional reaction to occupation of the Crimea). Obama notes that thus, action of the decree imposing sanctions - No. 13660 of March 6, 2014 - is prolonged for a year.
We will remind, yesterday the U.S. President Barack Obama also carried out a videoconference on a situation in Ukraine with leaders of four European Union countries - France, Germany, Italy and Great Britain and with the head of European Commission. Leaders of the states threatened Moscow with strong reaction in response to failure of agreements in Minsk of February 12.
