Ukraine won't receive military superiority over numerous Russian army even after receiving the American weapon, but it could add "muscles" to diplomatic efforts on calm of an aggressor.

As the Censor.NET with reference to Ukrinform, it was declared on Tuesday in Berlin by the commander of group of troops of the USA in Europe lieutenant general Ben Hodges.

"When mothers start seeing how their sons come back home the dead when the price goes up, internal support starts being reduced", - he told and noted that providing Ukrainians with the defensive weapon will lead to such growth of cost for Putin in Russia.

Thus Hodges didn't specify concrete types of arms which the USA can provide to Ukraine, having noted that the Ukrainian party requests prospecting support, means of fight against heavy artillery of the opponent and the anti-tank weapon.

"If you don't have that gives diplomacy muscles, in economic aspect, it won't be such effective", - Hodges noted.

By the commander's estimates, the number of the Russian troops in the east of Ukraine totals about 12 thousand, in the territory of the Crimean peninsula - about 29 thousand. At the same time, he emphasized, the American side temporarily "put on a pause" plans of carrying out doctrines with three Ukrainian battalions waiting for full implementation of the Minsk agreement in the east of Ukraine from the pro-Russian forces.
