The leader of the Crimean Tatar people Moustapha Dzhemilev addressed to the Ukrainian woman-pilot Nadezhda Savchenko who is since July, 2014 in the Russian prison with a request to stop the hunger strike lasting 74 days.

The dissident, the human rights activist, the ex-chairman of Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people Moustapha Dzhemilev spent 15 years in the Soviet prisons. Fighting against illegal arrests and charges, Moustapha-aha went on hunger strike more than once. The longest of them was in Omsk prison and proceeded 303 days. In the most critical days prison doctors forcibly fed the dissident through a probe.

Dzhemilev remembered that to stop hunger strike in 1976 him Andrei Sakharov - the Soviet physicist, the academician of Academy of Sciences of the USSR, the dissident and the human rights activist convinced. Andrey Dmitriyevich gave to the 33-year-old Crimean Tatar prisoner a card with words: "Dear Moustapha, sonny! I made everything that could, and now I ask about one: will be enough to starve - your death of our enemies will only please".

"During that hunger strike big I was judged, to two and a half years of imprisonment sentenced and appointment was given - in Omsk prison, - Dzhemilev in interview told. - Mother and the elder brother came, mother burst into tears, to her it became bad, her brought, and the brother told: "Such to overpersuade you, I have no words, but nevertheless one argument is available - I don't know, it will work on you or not..." We through glass talked, it got a card from a pocket and to a window to it stuck, and it from Sakharov was the news. And it is valid, I survived, probably, thanks to Sakharov".

Today Moustapha Dzhemilev addressed to the Ukrainian woman-pilot Nadezhda Savchenko, whose hunger strike against illegal arrest lasts the 74th day.

"Nadia, the daughter, is already not present sense to continue hunger strike. Russia not that country where there are humane principles. We in Ukraine will surely rescue you, but in other ways", - Dzhemilev told.
