Lithuania free of charge transferred arms elements about which Ukraine asked, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Lithuania Juozas Olekas reported.

"We provided humanitarian aid, accepted on treatment of the wounded Ukrainian soldiers. We kept the promise and in response to a request provided arms elements … it the help to our friendly country was free", - he told journalists in Brussels the Censor.NET. At the same time, on the specifying question of a look, type and quantity of units of these arms, Olekas noted: "Answers to these questions are known by the Ukrainian military".

In November of last year Olekas reported that in 2015 its country plans to give to army of Ukraine help in the size of 43,5 thousand euros, having told from army warehouses everything that is not necessary for Lithuanian military. "From warehouses we will give everything that directly it is not necessary for us", - Olyakas told, commenting on the concluded Lithuanian-Ukrainian agreement on the military and technical cooperation (MTC) .
