NATO made the decision on opening of command points of Alliance in six countries of Eastern Europe: states of Baltic, Romania, Bulgaria and Poland

The management of the international military exercises will be a task of these command points. It is known that the East European NATO member states, first of all - the Baltic countries (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia), at the end of last year increased the defense capability at the expense of armed forces of the West European states (first of all, air forces) .

At the same time, these new command structures will have less powers and opportunities, than the key command centers of alliance (as headquarters in Szczecin, in northwest part of Poland).

"Six new command points will be less by the size, they have other functions, they will be responsible for carrying out international military exercises. In everyone there will be about 40 officers, a half - from the state owner", - the representative of alliance explained to journalists.

The decision on opening of the NATO new command center which will be located in Romania will be at the same time made and will involve in case there is a need of carrying out military operations of alliance for this part of Europe .

Let's remind, on Thursday the alliance will make also the decision on creation of forces of fast reaction of NATO in number of 5000 servicemen who will be on national bases in the mode of constant readiness and in need of a current of several days will be directed on protection of alliance.
