United States appreciate the opportunity to meet in "Normand format" in Astana, if it will promote the process of peaceful settlement of the conflict in the East of Ukraine, in particular the Minsk agreements.

This statement was made on Monday in Washington representative of the US Department of State Jen Psaki, passes the Censor.NET with reference to UKRINFORM.

"Our point of view, no doubt, is that any possibility to take further steps forward for Russia and the separatists were performed Minsk agreement and, in the end, closer to a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Eastern Ukraine, is positive," said state Department spokesman.
