EU high representative for foreign Affairs and security policy Federica Mogerini said that the European Union will not recognize the annexation of Crimea by Russia.

"We certainly have discussed the problem of the Crimea. The EU reiterates that it has never recognized the annexation of Crimea by Russia," said Mogerini.

Earlier it became known that the EU has agreed to new restrictions in respect of the Crimea. New proposals for the extension of sanctions may relate to the tourism business, they can also include the prohibition to Finance or purchase Crimean commercial structures.
