The NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg declares that the West has to help partners to resist out of the block to threats from Russia. He said about it during the speech in subcommittee on safety issues and defenses of European Parliament.

"Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia are partners of NATO. They cooperate with the European Union. They chose the movement to Europe to divide our values, and we closely cooperate with them. All of them are under pressure of Russia. We have to support and strengthen them their opportunities to resist to threats which go from Russia", - the Ukrainian edition of Radio Freedom quotes Stoltenberg.

The NATO Secretary General once again emphasized that if Ukraine will decide to submit the application for membership in NATO, in alliance it will consider.

We will remind, on December 23, 2014 the Verkhovna Rada supported the presidential bill of refusal of Ukraine of the extra block status. The president of Ukraine signed this document.

Ukraine officially refused the previous course on the accession to NATO in 2010, right after coming to power of the then president Victor Yanukovych.

In NATO not once emphasized that the position of alliance remains invariable: Ukraine has the right for the introduction if such decision and when Kiev satisfies necessary conditions for the introduction is made.
