The North Atlantic Treaty organization (NATO) in connection with the aggravated situation in the East of Ukraine calls on Russia to stop its military, political and financial support of the separatists and start to respect its international obligations.

This is stated in the statement of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, according to the Censor.NET with reference to Ukrainian news.

"I urge Russia to stop its military, political and financial support for the separatists, to stop destabilization in Ukraine and to respect its international obligations," said the Secretary General.

He believes large-scale attack under the leadership of Russia on the residential quarters of Mariupol complete disregard for the agreement on a ceasefire. "For several months we have seen the presence of Russian troops in Eastern Ukraine, as well as a significant increase in Russian heavy equipment such as tanks, artillery, and advanced air defense systems," the statement said.
