Ukraine January 20, appealed to the RF communication channel OSCE demanding clarification on the stay 50 thousand Russian military near the Ukrainian border.
This is stated in the comments of the speaker of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Yevhen Perebyinis, who published the press service of the foreign Ministry informs Censor.NET
"According to the information of the competent authorities of Ukraine, the Russian Federation concentrated along the Ukrainian-Russian state border, more than 50 thousand Russian soldiers in full combat readiness were deployed in close proximity to the territory of Ukraine armament and military equipment, which has not previously been stationed in the border areas of the Russian Federation", - emphasized in the comments.
Predrag also emphasizes that the implementation of the neighboring state of these and other events of military activities with uncertain tasks naturally causes concern in Ukraine, contrary to the international obligations of the Russian side, including in the context of the Minsk agreements and undermines international efforts aimed at de-escalation of the situation in the East of Ukraine.
"Taking into account this fact, Ukraine, with some in the Vienna document on confidence-building measures and security, the members of which are all member States of the OSCE, the consultation process concerning military activities, which concern, January 20, turned on the appropriate communication channel of the OSCE to the Russian Federation with a request to formally inform the objectives, areas of the Russian Federation specified military activity, the date of its completion, and the name, subordination, the number and types of units and parts that take part in it", - underlined in the message.
In addition, the Foreign Ministry notes that this query automatically dispersed network of all OSCE participating States. In accordance with the Vienna document Russia is obliged to provide explanations within 48 hours of receipt of the request, that is January 22.
